ITIL Training Formats

XPM Consulting offers courses in different formats. Not all courses are available in every format. Please check the available options for the course you wish to take.

ITIL classroom course

Classroom training combines the presentation and discussion of key topics with practical examples and exercises.

Depending on the course, the training may include:

• Presentation and discussion of the main topics, with examples that facilitate learning.
• Use of relevant templates, checklists and other resources.
• Practical exercises and learning activities.
• Exam preparation questions, including module-specific questions and, where applicable, a final exam.
• Support in developing a study plan and, where applicable, with individual exam applications.

Online ITIL course: Virtual and elearning training 

Virtual courses combine live training with the flexibility of distance learning. Sessions are led by the trainer and allow participants to actively participate, ask questions and complete exercises. During the training, participants can use whiteboards, answer questions, exchange messages and take part in Q&A sessions, among other features.

Since 2010, XPM has also offered e-learning, allowing participants to study at their own pace. When a course is available as e-learning, please refer to the e-learning tab for information about the specific features, resources and terms of that format.

Platforms and technical requirements 

For virtual courses, we use video conferencing platforms such as Zoom and Microsoft Teams.

Before enrolling, please check that your equipment and network meet the requirements of the platform used for the training. We also recommend running a compatibility test before the course starts.

If you encounter any issues, you can adjust your system settings or contact your IT department to check whether access to the platform needs to be authorised.

Access to elearning materials 

Enrolment in an e-learning course includes access to the course content for the period specified for the course.

The access period starts on the day the access details are sent, even if the participant has not yet started the course. The period is counted in calendar days, including weekends, holidays and public holidays.

Participants are responsible for completing the course within the access period.

Exam Voucher ITIL Foundation

The exam voucher is an electronic code provided to participants who purchase a training option that includes the exam. The voucher is valid for three months from the date of issue.

ITIL Foundation exam

The exam is taken online, from a location of the participant’s choice. To take the exam, you need an internet connection and a computer equipped with a camera and microphone.

Once the exam has been completed, the results are generally available immediately. The certificate is available on the certification body’s website. Participants can also request the certificate through the chat service provided by the organisation responsible for the exam.

TAKE2: Second exam attempt 

The TAKE2 option allows you to take a second attempt at the ITIL Foundation or ITIL Foundation Bridge exam, subject to the applicable conditions. If you do not pass your first attempt, you can take a second attempt at no additional cost, provided that you have purchased the TAKE2 option and meet the applicable conditions.

The second attempt:

• must be taken online, even if the first attempt was taken in a classroom
• must be taken within 6 months of the first attempt
• is subject to the terms and conditions of the organisation responsible for the exam

The unsuccessful first attempt must be reported to the organisation responsible for the exam so that the second attempt can be scheduled.

The TAKE2 offer is valid for ITIL Foundation and ITIL Foundation Bridge exam vouchers requested by 31 December 2026.

Voucher terms 

• The voucher is personal and non-transferable and cannot be refunded.
• Participants must request the voucher within 3 months of payment.
• XPM Consulting cannot change the exam date or language after the exam has been scheduled.
• The organisation responsible for the exam may charge additional fees for changing the exam date or language.
• An additional fee may apply to extend the voucher’s validity.
• Exam vouchers are subject to the terms and conditions of the organisation responsible for the exam.

VAT

The prices shown are subject to VAT at the applicable rate.

For individuals residing in Portugal, a VAT offer is available for classroom or virtual courses, subject to the terms and conditions of the promotion.

The VAT offer does not apply to ITIL or PRINCE2 courses, or to customers who benefit from corporate agreement or alumni discounts.

Payments

According to XPM Consulting’s payment terms, the following payment methods are available:

If you wish to pay by credit card or PayPal, please email us to request payment using one of these methods. In this case, an additional fee of 6% will be charged on the price of our service to cover the costs of payment services provided by external providers.
